Music
Our music program is dormant for the summer, but we look forward to more offerings in the fall.
Music is a vital part of the Wy'east community. There are many different ways we share our musical talents with each other.
-
The Wy'east Family Choir
For those who enjoy choral singing, the Wy'east Family Choir is open to singers of all ages.
-
Chamber Music
The Wy'east Chamber Players is an ensemble that draws upon volunteer instrumentalists from our congregation who come together in various configurations to offer music for worship services.
-
All Music Sundays
Several times a year Wy'east holds services with music as the central focus so that we can experience worship from a musical perspective.
-
Guest Musicians
Wy'east is fortunate to have a variety of musicians, instrumentalists as wells as vocalists, to call upon for services, offering a rich range of distinctive styles of music in worship services.
-
Music Workshops
Wy'east also strives to bring music to the wider community, by holding music workshops that are open to the public, and hosting joint ventures with other choirs.
Hymn Sings
Congregational singing is enriched by hymn sings that are incorporated into services monthly, and which draw upon both traditional and contemporary sources.
If you are interested in sharing your musical gifts with our congregation, either as a soloist, as an accompanist, or as part of an ensemble, please contact Debra Tomsen or a member of the Music Committee.
