Treasurer’s Report
Ahead of schedule for income, expenses down for the year, no unusual expenses.
We have used up the board discretionary fund, and we need $50 to renew Wy’east with the State. Need to assign the renewal fee as a budget line item so it won’t be forgotten / not budgeted for next year.
Discussed adding Reserved Savings / Emergency Fund to the budget as a rainy day fund, enough for the deductible amount for insurance, etc.
Church Insurance Form and Survey - Karl will be filling out the renewal form which includes a survey of our assets, and information about the organization.
Minister’s Report
New members Larry and Diane joined, and meeting with 3-4 new people that may be interested in being members.
New members need to sign the book to be official members, and need to sign 30 days before the annual meeting if they want to have a vote. Need to check that Linda B has had a chance to sign the book.
Canvass Committee Report
Received 17 pledges so far, totaling 35,786.60.
Question for the Canvass Committee: Can we note those that are large increase or decrease from the prior year(s)?
Wy’east Incoming Correspondence Procedures
We are receiving mail address to Wy’east and addressed to the HSC. Need to remind people of our PO box address. We should not respond to unsolicited advertisers.
Task Force for Digital Assets
To cover multiple topics: Disaster recovery plan, Computer and admin permissions for computer, backup, website, email lists, etc.
Other activities needed: Spring Cleaning and inventory and asset tracking, take pictures of library and hymnals and other assets.
US Bank Credit Card
Karl talked to Barbara's contact, we can get a credit card easily, they said we should get a credit card rather than a debit card. Charges do not go on a person's credit report, but to have your name they need to run a credit check on that person's name. Dan will work with Karl on getting a new credit card through the bank.
RE Update
Preschool group up and running consistently.
Ann's last day will be June 22nd.Discussed getting a gift of recognition for her. Discussed contacting Campus ministries and First Church about filling the position.
RE teachers are interested in the children doing a singing performance at a service, maybe during children’s time.
