Meeting began at 7:28 PM, Tode, Hank, Karl, Liana, Dan, Marcia, and Mark in attendance.

Minister’s Report
New members ceremony went well. There have been more people interested in becoming members.
Treasurer’s Report
Ahead of schedule for income, expenses down for the year, no unusual expenses.
No tracking for new member pledging yet. 
Discussed extending our time on Sunday, paying more rent for more time, rather than a rent increase. Perhaps extending rental until 5 or 7pm twice a month. Karl will talk to Amber (HSC) about next year's rent; currently it is $100 a Sunday from 8 am to 2pm
Tode suggested we discuss the possibility of adding a second evening service. 
It would be great to offer space to the small groups, for a class or for meetings
Peace Rally and March
Mark asked about our participation in the march and demonstration on 3/19/2011 - Peace Rally and March Marking Eighth Anniversary of US Invasion of Iraq
Wy’east board unanimously voted to endorse this rally.
Theme for the Upcoming Year
There was a discussion about what will be our special collection theme next year
Mark suggested "Standing on the side of love"
Outside Activities
Hank suggested things people could do - 

• Collecting food and distributing; 
• Saturday Pancake breakfast once a month; 
• Get together a cookbook and publish; 
• Create a new member package

Hank reported the senior group is working on updating the directory
Displays
Liana bought two display boards, use one for board leadership; the other would be for volunteer opportunities. Some examples of what may be on shown:

• Bios - form with questions, and have photos of leadership
• List of accomplishments on website; What Wy’east has done
• Community connections page - -list various things people have done as a result of being involved in Wy’east

New Adult Class - “Articulating Your Own Faith”
There was a discussion about starting a class that may morph into a small group about building your own theology; articulating your own faith; mentoring people to be better speakers, lay leaders, etc. Liana reported after her “This I Believe” service, she was approached by people at Hood River that were interested in how you narrow down what you believe.
Budget Talks
April 3rd - proposed budgets and variations will be given to the congregation, prior to canvassing.

• Need to find a “Giving” chairperson or two
• Clarify Phone charge - Karl
• Clarify Website charges - Anders - Hank
• Increase to full Sundays twice a month
• Ann S will be leaving in June (need to hire new childcare person)
• Need to identify canvass leaders
• April 25th - Drop dead date for return of pledges
