Treasurers Report:
Reviewed. Larry stated that expenses are increased due to more employees,but are covered by the increased donations by one of our members.
Wy’east is in good financial shape.
Wy’east has received 2 grants from Jan Hively and her son Dean. Larry B and Rev Leslie will send thank you notes to the family.
Holiday meal for Lilac Meadows.
Use of $350 from the food fund was approved for the Lilac Meadows’ December special meal.
Membership Report:
Report reviewed. Debra T continues to gather data on the in-person and zoom service attendance. The data will be utilized to assess the change of attendance to in-person services on 4 Sundays per month and the effect of the marketing push.
Worship and Marketing Report
Linda M sent an update on the progress of the redesign of the WEB site and marketing.
Linda M’s recorded video was a draft. Leslie stated that several members will participate in the final video.
Linda M is also requesting support in writing content for the WEB site.
Worship Committee: an in-person Christmas eve service is planned.
Social Justice Report: The committee decided on Y.O.U.T.H as the Sustaining Partnership for this year.
A special membership meeting is planned in March for a vote on this theme.
The SJC is going to send their minutes to the board each month so we can keep abreast of their activities
Accessibility at services for different-abled people:
Willow Sage discussed the need for special arrangements for different-abled members and visitors at the service.
Suggestions:Chairs with arms available in the front.
Signs can be placed on chairs that do not appear on zoom.
Large print of hymns? UUA has introduced a digital hymnal. A few paper copies can be available as well as the words on the screen.
Hymnals placed on chairs vs available at the welcome table and offered to attendees .
There was a suggestion that the greeter could ask folks as they are greeted and told about the temporary name tags: do you need any accommodations? Whether or not there are visible abilities.
Linda B will discuss this with the membership committee.
Larry B discussed the need to offer members rides to services for those who can not drive or take public transportation.
