Wy’east UU Board Minutes January 9, 2026

Attendance: 

Rev Leslie B-M, Larry B, Debra T, Willow Sage D, Andy L, Linda B

 

Treasurer’s Report: Accepted

Larry stated we are in good financial shape. He has transferred $20,000 from checking to the CCCU 1% APR money market account.

 

Minister’s Discretionary Fund:

Rev. Leslie stated  there was very little use of these funds this past year. Balance is $933.

Discussion was how this fund is utilized and few members are aware of its existence. 

Debra suggested that if we see more of a need we will schedule another collection date since the Christmas eve service attendance is light. 

Rev.Leslie will contact MA Alter, who is a member of the social justice and the worship committees to discuss this.

 

Membership Report: Accepted

 

Worship Committee and Outreach Reports: No Questions. Accepted

 

Minister’s Report:

 Rev. Leslie stated that she plans to make a video for the updated WEB site and they are working on a video by the members to include on the updated WEB site.

 

Update Bylaws

Andy , Debra, Larry and Linda will work on this. 

Debra will forward a working draft .

The goal is to complete suggested changes by the end of March in order to present this to the congregation for approval in the May congregational meeting. 

Linda will organize a meeting of the above board members at the end of January to work on this. 

 

Accessibility at services

Linda will order a large print volume 2 gray hymnal for $50.00  from UUA .The cost will come from the  Worship Committee budget. 

Hymnals are offered at services for those who want to see the music.

The hymns will be emailed  as pdf’s for those who request it. 

The arm chairs are placed in the front  for those who may need it. 

Diane I made a sign indicating the chairs that are not in view of  zoom.

Eddie will be informed of the no view area.
