Meeting Minutes:

1. Meeting Minutes-review and approval
   • Moved and approved
2. Small Group Events: 
   • Book Group is still going on
3. Religious Education Update:
   • When do we use the “Grab bags?”
   • At the last meeting all the kids were put together K-12, a Kindergartener and high schooler were present. It would be great to differentiate instruction, but the younger participant was able to participate.
   • Sarah Schurr, a retired minister from Wy’East,  said the UUA could offer some coaching on RE.  Maybe we should follow up on this?
   • We need to have an RE meeting with those interested, including Leslie, and see what the next steps should be. This meeting has not taken place yet. Possibly before the July board meeting RE committee can meet.
     • RE Meeting scheduled for July 16 at 5:30pm
       1. Debra will reach out to Matt and Anders to see if the time will work for them, and send out a reminder notice to all.
   • Willow commented that maybe there should be more hands-on activities for the Kinesthetic learners…like a social-action project.
     • Debra commented that we have a problem because we don’t have an RE director, and we have one volunteer, Matt, who takes on the RE role weekly, and the physical space is limited. Our resources are low currently. 
     • Marcy commented we don’t know when we will have new kids to taylor lessons to those kids, and maybe we need a sign-up?
   • Physical Space problem
     • Eastside Jewish Commons–Leslie has connected with them and we would not be able to use any space at this time.
     • Maybe we could reconnect with the school across the street again and ask if we could use the space again?
4.  Treasurer’s Report- budget is approved for 25-26
   • Larry worked with Bruce to send out pledge notifications for congregants, which relayed where each member’s pledge is at currently.
   • At the end of June, we will need to update paid positions’ raises for the new year and resign contracts for those who have them. Larry will work on this with Debra and D’on.
5. Annual Meeting Recap–It went well
6. New Board Member Roles–we will talk about roles at the next board meeting when all new board members are present.
7. New Board Members Coming on To Do List
   • They will need to get signing privileges from the Bank…Larry will work on this.
   • Google “Board Business” drive will need to be updated for the new board members …Debra will ask Anders or Gigi how to get the new board members on it.
   • Diane A can help any new board members with Google Docs. if they need it.
   • Anders will need to be contacted to get the new board members on the board email list…Debra will email Anders
   • Debra will be contacting Andy to see if July 7th at 7 pm will work with him.
8. Plan for Restaggering Board Members in the years to come: 
   • There wasn’t enough time to get to this issue
9. Vision Consensus Committee Update - no updates
10. Is there a link to Wy’east Bylaws on the Wy'East website?
    • Yes, but you have to be logged in.
    • The board members do not know their username to the website to see the bylaws or other Wy’east documents, Debra will contact Anders to see how we can get logged in
11. Current Board members passing on any tips to new board
    • Diane A. - stated it is helpful to send out an agenda a week prior
    • Linda B.: it would be helpful to have a calendar and what needs to be done each month
      • Each Board Member will write up what they do during the calendar year, and jot down notes they remember. Goal is to complete this before the end of June and send to new members so they can see what each position entails.

To Do and Who:

• Marcy will email Gigi the May minutes to post 
• Send 2025 Annual Meeting Minutes to Larry for the new bank check signers
• Larry will send the Annual Meeting Minutes to the bank CCCU, and the emails of the new signers: Andy Lasnik, Willow Sage Dixon, and Lind Burk so they can get set up with signing the checks in July
• Raises will need to be adjusted for the new church year in July Larry will work with D’on and Debra to get this done.
• Debra will email Anders or Gigi to get new board members on the email list and the Board Business Drive.
• Each Board Member will describe their role and note during the calendar year what needs to get done and when by the end of the month
• Debra will reach out to Matt and Anders to see if RE meeting time, July 16th at 5:30 pm, will work for them, and send out a reminder to all.
