This was a virtual meeting held over Zoom.

Attendees who are not voting members were asked to ignore the polls and not vote.
Cohosts of the zoom meeting were sent absentee ballots
- Introduction and grounding by Daniale
- Confirmation of Quorum
- We have approximately 54 potential voting members
- 31 devices joined the meeting
- At least 2 of those devices included two voting members
- Approximately three of the attendees were nonvoting
- A Quorum of 20% was easily achieved.
- 2020 Annual Meeting Minutes
- Ron moved to approve last year’s meeting minutes.
- Barbara seconded.
- Daniale tallied votes by show of hands. Motion carried.
- Budget for 2021-2022
- Ron moved to approve the proposed 2021-2022 budget.
- Kathryn seconded.
- Jocelyn facilitated the discussion.
- Confirmed that there is $100 for each sustained partnership
- Confirmed a minister’s discretionary fund of $2,190. It has not been used recently, but we continue to maintain it
- There are other funds like a moving fund to help people, in case that need arises.
- The predicted savings balance in June 2022 is $36,000, a drawdown of about $14,000.
- Note that there is $2400 budgeted for a ministerial search
- Daniale tallied votes by show of hands. Motion carried.
- Social Justice Focus for 2021-2022
- Mathias moved to approve the focus “Examining Economic Inequality.”
- Linda seconded.
- Appreciation for the idea, the name, and the complexity of it were raised.
- Linda raised the possibility of a book group or study group to go along with the focus.
- Daniale tallied votes by show of hands. Motion carried.
- Appointments
- Voting took place via Zoom’s polling function. Chandra facilitated.
- These are uncontested ballots. Should we have a “no” option? A write-in option?
- 24 devices participated in the poll, plus 10 absentee ballots. See data below.
- M.A. (Mark Alter) was elected to the Board of Directors for a 2-year term.
- Linda Burk was elected to the Board of Directors for a 2-year term.
- Ruth Jenkins was elected to the Board of Directors for a 2-year term.
- Diane Hogan was elected to the Nominating Committee for a 2-year term.
- Karl Arruda was elected to the Endowment Committee for a 3-year term.
- Future Plans
- Daniale explained two big upcoming explorations for Wy’east
- Ministerial Search
- The board will form a committee soon.
- All are welcome to volunteer.
- We are not necessarily searching for a new minister. The option of being 100% lay-led is on the table.
- Return to In-person Services
- The board is forming a hybrid planning task force
- We have not heard from the senior center about a time to reopen.
- The membership committee is looking to organize some outdoor small group gatherings this summer.
- Ministerial Search
- Daniale will be sending an email inviting thoughts and visions for the future of Wy’east.
- Hank will share a survey with the board that was used in the last ministerial search.
- Daniale explained two big upcoming explorations for Wy’east
- Appreciation from and for Daniale as she finishes her four years on the board.
