Wy'east UU Board Meeting Minutes 8/03/2025 via Zoom

Attendance: Debra T, Larry B, Willow D, Linda B, Andy L, Rev Leslie, 

Guest: MA Alter

 

July 7th  meeting and  July 14th Special Meeting Minutes: Approved

 

Minutes can be approved by email. A unanimous decision will be needed prior to sending minutes to Gigi for posting on the WEB site.

 

Special Congregational Meeting

Larry and Linda ,with input from MA ,  will work on a   brief proposal announcement 

and revised budget  to be posted by 8/28/25 in preparation for the vote to be held  

at the Sept 7th  Special Congregational meeting 

 

Linda will prepare  paper ballots  for the  in-person vote and contact Marcy 

and Debra  for procedures for the online member votes

 

Larry has prepared the revised budget. Hard copies will be available for the meeting

 

September 7th Service will also include a new member ceremony

 

Treasurer’s Report: Approved

 

Board E-mail Communications.

A group text will be sent with a subject line indicating the reason for the email 

 

Access to Board Email

Debra will talk with Gigi about changing recipients to only  present board members and Rev Leslie

 

ByLaw Revisions:

Many updates are needed to update  the bylaws

Debra will contact Karl Aruda for advice on changing the bylaws.

 

Membership Report: Accepted

An accurate count of attendance on zoom and in person  is needed .

Debra will work with Ron to do this  each Sunday. 

 

Ministers Report:

Rev Leslie and Debra will work on this to make it less time consuming for Rev. Leslie 
 

 Update of Directory

Linda will work with D’On and Ron to update the directory and clarify member status.

The timeline is September after vacations.

 

Report  of Search Committee  for DRE /Lead Teacher  and Guest Minister

Rev. Leslie reported that the job has been posted. There are 2 strong candidates.

Kendra agreed to help with the  hiring process

Rev. Leslie is in communication with  Rev. Stephanie Skalak concerning the position of 

monthly guest minister 

 

Time and Day of Monthly Board Meeting 

 Second Friday of the month at 12:30 pm via zoom

We agreed to try this for 3 months. 9/12, 10/10, and 11/14
