New members joined this week, plus one ‘pledging friend’
Several other potential members are coming down the pipeline
Began having pastoral care meetings in the office
Wanting to make clear what kind of pastoral care Marcia offers.
Feeling some urgency around getting the congregational letter out.  Overall feeling good about getting some new members.

Congregational Letter:
All read and approved.  Will send to members and the Wy’east list.

(Hank) Mount Hood area UU Cluster:
Would we like to purchase T-shirts for the Standing on the Side of Love campaign.
Action item for March (Robyn added to the calendar)
OPB announcement potentially on.
Joseph Boyd: UU young adults event

Need a 25 word description of who we are.
Warm friendly intergenerational community with a ½ time minister and a strong RE program
Action Item: Send out request to submit a description for Wy’east
(Hank will do this)
Canvas:  Need to do a better job of explaining what you get and why to give
Event on march 9th. Volunteers for dinners, about 8-10 dinners
Collections/Storm Relief:
Talked about a collection for UU Churches, decided to do it in January.  
All vote aye.  Tode will talk to Mark about when to do that.
Racism:
Collection for books: some will pay for the books.  Will schedule a book meeting.
Action Item: Marcia will write a description for the collection

Proactive:
Being proactive. Want to discuss how we can be more inviting to new people, new members.  
Sharing suppers (potlucks)
Small groups
Speaking to new people more than once

Senior group and the Worship Committee
Listening circles:
Previous senior meeting there was a plan for a meeting
Worship committee got a request for a service where we talk about Wy’east’s vision.
Suggest having it after worship service a discussion about who we are and where are we going.
Would like to have it as smaller discussion group.
Senior group did not want to facilitate these discussion groups.
They propose instead a large discussion group about Wy’east in general.  We would like to do this.  Will ask Anders to mediate and lead the discussion.
Action Item: Marcia will speak with Anders
We need to be more clear with how the budget making actually works and take better input during the budget creation process.

Interest groups
Wants to publish interest groups with contacts
also potentially add/remove interest groups.
Check and see which groups are still running, and which want to form.

Adult RE Class
Doing an adult RE class starting in Jan.  Every other week.  
Evensong
Developing a personal theology
History?
Evensong sounded good to everyone

Homeless guests
Want to be welcoming and also keep things safe for everyone (and not distracting)
Keep food in the kitchen until after the service, offer food to anyone that came.
